Waiting To Die is an anthology comic stories by Noir Amador. The first issue features 3 stories of varying levels of scatological humor. The first is a brand new 4 page intro comic that’s been completely redone for this reprint. The intro is a play on The Princess Bride film, replacing the old Ben-tro comic.

“Attack of the Cum Gnomes” is the second comic, and begins the first chapter of a multi-issue story about what happens when your sperm comes to life after missing the sock you were aiming for. Attack of the Cum Gnomes was created by Noir & his co-worker Alec Levine during a dead time while working in the fast paced pet food industry. We lived fast. We lived hard. We made storie3s about our cum becoming a sentient being.

“Gingerbread Curse”: Started when I was a 5th grade teacher and the class was writing remixed fairy tales. One of the students asked why I didn’t have to do a story and this comic is a by product of that exercise. It starts off with Jack & Jill going up the hill to fetch a pail of water. The two un-expectedly come upon some magic beans and the adventure begins. This is also the only comic I’ve made that’s kid friendly.

I finished the first issue of Waiting to Die in 2016. I was so stoked to actually have something that was professional looking and completed in my hands. The initial 200 copies sold out almost instantly. I reprinted the this comic in 2025 with a new intro comic and changes to various pages, due to resizing to a larger size. I’ve uploaded the pages that were cut from the reprint below for posterity or some shit.
The intro story was colored by the homie Donal Delay. I’ve also taken out the journal entries from the upcoming version, but I’ve left them in this gallery.
